Bullhead City police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Kingman, Arizona.
It was reported on the 1700 block of Miami Avenue around 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Kingman police issued a search warrant for stolen property at the residence.
Initial information indicates that 53-year-old Jeffrey Clair Cave of Kingman fired a weapon toward officers and a police officer was shot.
Cave was also shot and later pronounced dead at the scene. The police officer was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery and is currently listed in serious, but stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing. It is protocol to have an outside agency investigate an officer-involved shooting incident.
