Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid bid farewell to the Senate after 30 years.

In his final speech on the Senate floor Reid reminisced about growing up dirt-poor in tiny Searchlight, Nevada, and his "dream job" working as Obama's point man in the Senate.

He also warned of "a new gilded age" ahead.

"I didn't make it in life because of my athletic prowess. I didn't make it because of my good looks. I didn't make it because I'm a genius," Reid said. "I made it because I worked hard, and I tell everyone whatever you want to try to do, make sure you're going to work as hard as you can at trying to do what you want to do."

In his speech, Reid also spoke of the push to change McCarran International Airport's name.

Reid ended his speech with a thank you to his wife of nearly 60 years.
