A large, exotic rodent was rescued from a Las Vegas parking lot back in April. Now, he's been taken to an animal rescue in Arizona, and he couldn't be happier.

According to the Animal Kingdom Veterinary Hospital, the Patagonian mara was taken to Out of Africa in Camp Verde, Arizona, on Friday morning. After arriving in his new home, he was named Diego.

The rescue says they have a female Patagonian mara named Daisy. They were hoping the two could make a love connection.

And love was found - Daisy began jumping around in excitement after meeting Diego, while Diego began exploring his new home and smelling everything. Daisy even led Diego into her den.

Officials from Out of Africa say they've never seen such an instant romantic connection.
