UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Marcell Portier Titus, a resident in North Las Vegas. His age is unknown.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Neighbors found a man dead in the middle of street after hearing shots fired late Sunday night.
Police responded to the shooting in the 4500 block of Bonita Vista Street, near Tropicana Avenue and Durango Drive, around 11:50 p.m. Police said they received a call from someone in the area and were told there was a man laying in the middle of the street.
During the investigation, police determined that the victim and another man got into a verbal confrontation that led to a physical altercation. While the two men were fighting, police said the suspect shot at the victim multiple times.
Witnesses told police that a Hispanic man took off from the scene, heading west on Peace Way. He has dark hair and was wearing a gray shirt.
