CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Carjacker attacks Henderson woman

Victim fights back, suspect not caught

A terrifying carjacking in Henderson was caught on camera.
 
According to police, it happened on Monday at 7:30 p.m. near Valle Verde Drive and Warm Springs Road.
 
Police say the female victim was approached by a man as she was getting out of her car in her driveway. The suspect pointed a gun at her and asked for her car.
 
13 Action News spoke with the victim who did not want to identified. She said the suspect caught her off guard. At first, she thought he was a neighbor on an evening stroll.
 
The victim tossed her car keys onto the driveway but then decided to push the suspect.  
 
They struggled before the suspect left in her Nissan Rogue. The victim's purse was inside.
 
She was not injured, but the suspect is still on the loose.
 
Neighbors said they hope there will be an arrest soon.
 
"He could've been in front of my house, running up on my daughter," said one man.
