A California man named Jack Freney is the lucky winner of the January Mega Millions jackpot of $191M.

The ticket was sold in Primm.

When asked what he would do with the money, Freney said: “This will allow me to correct all the wrong that I have incurred in my lifetime.”

Freney told the California Lottery that he plans on taking the lump sum payout of $114.1 million (less federal taxes).

He bought his lucky ticket in Nipton (San Bernardino County) at Primm Valley Lotto, which is located at Interstate 15 and Stateline. It matched the winning numbers: 61, 53, 54, 17, 37 and Mega number 8.

It took several weeks for Freney to claim the prize.

“Over the past few weeks, we’ve been anxiously waiting to see who won like everyone else. Out here at Primm, we pride ourselves on creating a one-of-a-kind experience and winning a jackpot like this is definitely a one-of-a-kind experience,” said Kerri Matherly, Director of Retail for Primm Valley Resorts.

Primm Valley Lotto will also receive a $955,000 retailer bonus for selling the winning.
