It all happened at the intersection of Blue Diamond and Cimarron. NHP is searching for the driver who fled the scene. ORIGINAL STORY
The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit and run crash at Blue Diamond and Cimarron roads.
It happened around 1:40 a.m. Friday.
Troopers say a man was outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by a silver car.
The vehicle fled and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he died. He was identified as 55-year-old Edward Michael Iantuono. He died of multiple blunt force injuries from the crash.
The eastbound lanes of Blue Diamond were closed until the scene could be cleared.
