As part of the recently completed remodel of the Las Vegas Walmart Supercenter at 5200 S. Fort Apache Road, near Tropicana Avenue, customers now have access to the first Walmart Pickup Tower in Nevada.
The tower functions like a high-tech vending machine and can fulfill a customer’s online order in less than a minute.
To use the tower, customers choose from the items available on Walmart.com and select the Pickup option at checkout. When the item arrives at the local store, an associate loads it into the Pickup Tower and the customer retrieves by scanning a bar code sent to their smartphone.
The official grand reopening of the Walmart location is Friday at 9 a.m.
