Arriving officers located Adams, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was transported to UMC Trauma where she succumbed to her injuries.

North Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Craig Road.

Police said a woman was shot and transported to a local hospital where she died late Sunday evening. The 20-year-old woman was shot by a man, police said, but they are trying to figure out the exact relationship.

"It appears at this moment to be domestic related between a man and a woman, right now we do have the man in custody, and detectives are conducting interviews with witnesses on scene," said Officer Aaron Patty.

A 19-year-old man is being held on a murder charge. His name has not been released.

The Clark County coroner will identify the victim when family has been notified.
