Nevada Highway Patrol is reporting a fatal crash on I-15 at mile marker 93, near Moapa. The crash occurred around 12:54 p.m. on Oct. 8.
The crash happened when a silver Jeep attempted to pass a black BMW on the shoulder but ended up clipping the car, which sent the Jeep across the median and into oncoming traffic. The Jeep then hit a Mini Cooper head on.
The driver of the Mini Copper was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the Jeep was transported to UMC Trauma. The driver of the BMW and another witness remained at the scene.
Several witnesses say the crash was a result of road rage.
