LATEST: On Friday, Jaime Santana was taken into custody in the area of Charleston Boulevard and Palm Street without incident. Santana will be booked into the Clark County Detention Center for one count of murder with a deadly weapon.

According to an arrest report, Santana and the victim, Wendy Perez-Rodriguez, went to high school together. They reconnected on August 10 while Perez-Rodriguez was at work.

The next day, August 11, Santana told his father that he and Perez-Rodriguez were going to visit the Las Vegas Strip. Surveillance footage captured the two withdrawing money at a bank near Rainbow Avenue and Cheyenne Avenue. That was the last time Perez-Rodriguez was seen alive.
