ORIGINAL STORY

HENDERSON (KTNV) -- Two men were shot outside a Henderson restaurant Monday evening.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 7:35 p.m. between Black Mountain Grill and Wendy's, near Eastern Avenue and Sunridge Heights Parkway.

Police said four people walked out of Wendy's, got into an argument with two other men who ended up shooting at them. Two of them were hit.

Wendy's employees were on lockdown after the shooting.

Both men were transported to Sunrise Hospital. One man is in extremely critical condition while the other has minor injuries.

Tyler Carroll was working as a server at Black Mountain Grill when the shooting occurred.

"We just heard about six loud knocks," he said. "We just thought someone was banging on the back door."

Carroll then called 911.

"It's a very unusual thing to happen," he said. "This is a very nice area. Just look around you. Does anything around here seem bad?"

Michelle has lived in Henderson more than 20 years and sees this shooting as part of an unfortunate pattern.

"I just, I don't feel safe," she said.

There's something she'd like to see to address shootings, drug issues and home invasions she's seen in her neighborhood.

"We need more police around," Michelle said. "I don't know what else to say."

The suspects are described as a Hispanic male approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, thin build, 18 to 20 years old and a black male approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, thin build and 18 to 20 years old.
