420 is a special day and time in cannabis culture and Las Vegas is joining the celebrations this year now that medical marijuana is legal in the state of Nevada.

Sahara Wellness on East Sahara Avenue will be having a tent party in its parking lot. There will be live music, food and drinks, tours, shopping and "sensational" giveaways.

Sahara Wellness is the first medical marijuana dispensary in Nevada to be owned exclusively by women. The festivities will take place from 4 to 7 p.m.

The Cannabis Chapel is celebrating its grand opening on April 20. The chapel is located on Las Vegas Boulevard and will perform pot-themed wedding ceremonies and vowel renewals. The chapel also offers tours of medical marijuana dispensaries and cultivation facilities in the Las Vegas area.

Other happenings at local dispensaries include:

Las Vegas ReLeaf on Paradise Road will be celebrating 420 with specials and raffle prizes throughout the day. Euphoria Wellness is also offering specials and celebrating with food, drinks and special guests until 9 p.m.

Inyo Fine Cannabis Dispensary is offering 20 percent off of everything and free t-shirts to first 200 people who make a purchase, and The Apothecary Shoppe has several specials.

Terra Tech is opening its first Nevada-based cannabis dispensary at 1921 Western Avenue on April 20. The dispensary will offer patients the company's proprietary IVXX brand of premium medical cannabis and related products.

The Grove is also celebrating opening of its 2nd location on April 20. DJ Tyler Caiden and the StripCheeze food truck will help kick off the festivities. The first 100 patients will receive a 420 survival bag and Master Chef Melissa Parks will be signing her book "Herb: Mastering Cooking with Cannabis." The new location is at 4647 Swenson Street. The fun continues until 10 p.m.

The event at The+Source on South Rainbow Boulevard is also a fundrasising event for Friends of Parkinson's. There will be special pricing, as well as giveaways and gifts. Friends of Parkinson's will have a table at the event. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The newly-opened Reef Dispensaries on Western Avenue is celebrating the unofficial holiday with pre-rolls priced from $2.50 to $7.50. New patients will also receive free eighths with purchase.

And, for those pot-lovers who want the whole world to know about their fondness for the drug, Crown Electric Tattoo on East Charleston Boulevard is offering $20 pot-themed tattoos today (similar to the $13 Friday the 13th tattoo promotions). Other tattoo designs are available.
