April is known as National Donate Life Month and Sunday, organ donors and recipients reunited for a ceremony in Las Vegas.
The event, put together by University Medical Center, was the first of its kind. Donors and recipients were honored together placing pins on one another.
Not everyone there was a stranger. Jennifer Johnson received a kidney from her husband in 2009. She says it was nothing short of a miracle that he was her perfect match in more ways than one.
UMC hopes to bring out even more donors and recipients from Las Vegas to the event next year.
