Cinco de Mayo, or the fifth of May, is a holiday that celebrates the date of the Mexican army's 1862 victory over Franck at the Battle of Puebl during the Franco-Mexican War. There wil be multiple Cinco de Mayo celebrations throughout the valley this weekend.

AAA is offering its Tipsy Tow service for anyone who needs a safe ride home from 6 p.m. May 5 to 6 a.m. May 6. To take advantage of the service, drivers, passengers, party hosts, bartenders and/or restaurant managers should call 1-800-AAA-HELP (1-800-222-4357) and state that they need a Tipsy Tow. Drivers should be prepared to provide their name, home address, phone number, location and vehicle description.

Applebee's Neighborhood Bar & Grill is celebrating by offering its $1 Dollaritas through May 5 at participating locations. Additionally, starting May 1, Applebee’s will also begin pouring from the tap its May Neighborhood Drink, the $2 Dos Equis® a.k.a. 2 DOLLAR DOS, which guests can enjoy all month long at participating restaurants.

Baja Miguel’s at the South Point hotel-casino will offer five authentic food specials in honor of Cinco de Mayo along with $5 drink specials including any Mexican beer, standard or specialty margaritas, Miguel’s mojito or house wine. Each fiesta dining special is available for $15.55 and all entrees are served with chips, three dips, Spanish rice and refried beans. Baja Miguel’s Tequila Bar will also offer guests $5 food and drink specials including any Mexican beer, margaritas, Miguel’s mojito and house wines May 4 through May 6. Food specials include cheesy quesadillas, chips con queso, mini toastadas, taquitos and dessert churros available for $5.

Relax and enjoy a Corona or Modelo for $8 or Sauza Margarita for $12 at Sully’s Bar inside Bally's Las Vegas .

Located just three blocks away from the Las Vegas Strip, guests can kick off Cinco de Mayo at Bandito Latin Kitchen & Cantina  with delicious margaritas, creative cocktails, and authentic Mexican cuisine. On offer will be lunch specials such as the barbacoa taquito, leche de tigre, cochinita pibil tacos, and more. For guests looking to heat up the evening, enjoy chicken mole, corn husk smoked salmon and more, paired with sounds from Dorion Rich, Gil Barba and DJ Animation. Top it off with desserts such as guava flan or tres leches cake. All day drink specials will also be available featuring Sauza, De Leon and Don Julio tequilas.

Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a rooftop party sponsored by Hornitos tequila starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 5. The Strip-side rooftop bar and restaurant will “salud” Cinco de Mayo with featured drinks sponsored by Hornitos, including the Grand Slam Peacharita, priced at $11, and refreshing margarita pitchers, priced at $44. Beer Park will also offer Mexican-inspired dishes, including the Childe Verde Nachos, priced at $13.95; the Mexican Style Dog, priced at $10.95, and the Spicy Chicken Quesadilla, priced at $9.95. Surrounded by views of the Fountains of Bellagio, the festivities will continue with a rockin’ mariachi band at 7 p.m. and a late-night DJ set. Hornitos models will offer tequila samples from 7 to 10 p.m. Beer Park will keep the celebration going with piñatas and in-house party games, including billiards, foosball, shuffle board and giant Jenga.

Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken is featuring the Chicken De Mayo during the month of May.  Inspired by Cinco de Mayo, the Chicken de Mayo layers Blue Ribbon's classic crispy fried chicken with shredded lettuce, guacamole-mayo and salsa, then elevated to another level with crunchy chicken nachos, pickled peppers, fresh cilantro, and their tangy chipotle-lime sour crème. At just $8.95, it's a delicious way to continue on the Cinco De Mayo festivities all month long.  

On May 5, Borracha Mexican Cantina will be hosting a complimentary Cycle Bar class in partnership with Fit4MOM. Following the class, all participants will get a Skinny Margarita. For those not taking the class and would just like to party, that is fine too! Borracha will be offering specials all day, including $5 Avion margaritas, $5 Hornitos shots, $5 Hennessy Black sangria, and $5 Corona drafts. From 6 PM - 8 PM there will be a live Mariachi band, followed by a DJ from 9PM - close to keep the vibes going.

The El Tiempo Cinco de Mayo celebration, presented by Cardenas and sponsored by Harmony Homes, will feature live music, unique food trucks, vendors and a Kids Zone. The free event, with complimentary parking, will also feature live Lucha Libre matches by Big Valley Wrestling, and the launch of El Tiempo’s upcoming Miss El Tiempo (Nevada USA) pageant. The entertainment main stage includes performances by popular entertainers listed below and will be hosted by Miss El Tiempo Diana Cervantes-Adams and Miss Teen El Tiempo Catherine Mosquera.

There will be live music, bottomless brews and tequila on the lawn, Latin-inspired flavors at Downtown Terrace including Barbacoa Chicken Street Tacos and Queso Fresco Chilaqules and more. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the gate.

El Cortez Hotel & Casino will be offering a Patron margarita served in a 50 oz. Patron bottle for $20 during Cinco de Mayo. All bars will also be offering a $5 Mint Julep in honor of the Kentucky Derby.

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is offering a $100 Prime Margarita from May 4 to 6. Freed’s Bakery  will create two festive cupcakes in celebration of Cinco de Mayo: The Tequila Sunrise, a vanilla cupcake infused with lime and grenadine, topped with an orange twist buttercream and orange dragees; and the Horchata cupcake, a chocolate cupcake topped with a cinnamon horchata mousse and garnished with chocolate curls. Each cupcake is priced at $3.25 each or $34 per dozen. Cinco de Mayo desserts may be ordered in-store and online for pickup on Saturday, May 5.

The Gold Spike will host Down To Fiesta, a backyard Cinco de Mayo bash with food, drinks and live entertainment. Beginning at 1 p.m. May 5, enjoy $4 draft Modelo Especial, Negro Modelo, Pacifico and Corona Light, $5 bottles of Dos Equis, Corona, Corona Premier and $6 shots of Casamigos, De Leon and Don Julio. Inspire’s ‘Rooftop Fiesta’ turns up the heat on ‘fun in the sun’! Starting at 3 p.m., revelers can indulge in $4 Modelo drafts and $5 Jose Cuervo margaritas while DJ’s Mike Fusion, Aybsent Mynded and Dilemma lay down latin-infused beats to baile the day away!    

Eat, drink and liberate at Libertine Social . The restaurant’s patio will be transformed into a Mexican fiesta featuring a taco stand, tequila and beer specials, a marachi band and festive giveaways on May 5 from 5-10 p.m.

Drink your way through the day at Libre Mexican Cantina at Red Rock Casino. Open at 11 AM, kickoff your Saturday fiesta with drinks special all day including $5 Casamigos margaritas, $5 Casamigos shots, $5 Hennessy Black sangria,  and $5 Modelo drafts. As if these note-worthy specials weren’t enough, there will be a live Mariachi band from 6 PM – 8 PM, followed by a live DJ at 8 PM.

Life Time Athletic in Green Valley  will host a “Yoga Fiesta” on Friday, May 4 from 6 – 8 p.m. The fiesta will include a one hour heated Flow class followed by a social hour at the outdoor, resort-style pool deck and bar featuring tacos and margaritas. Complimentary for members and their guests. Lifetime Athletic is located at 121 Carnegie Street, Henderson.

Festive décor will line the streets of The LINQ Promenade during the annual Cinco de Mayo festival. Entertainment will include a nine-piece Mariachi band, Viajero, accompanied by traditional Mariachi dancers. Guests will enjoy street tacos, Mexican style corn, margarita specials and live entertainment hosted by Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar. To celebrate the Mexican holiday, the High Roller will be lit green, white and red.  

The Lion Habit Ranch is hosting a Rock n Roar Cinco de Mayo celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. May 5. Proceeds will benefit Sunrise Children’s Foundation and their efforts to support the HIPPY Program’s (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) School Ready Initiative. There will be live music and a variety of catered food available (fruits, cheeses and Mexican fare). Beverages including margaritas, beer and wine will be available. Tickets are $75.

MB Steak will get the fiesta started on May 5, with a Prickly Pear Margarita, available exclusively for the Cinco de Mayo holiday. The zesty Prickly Pear Margarita is made with Milagro silver tequila, Prickly Pear purée and fresh sour mix, served in a martini glass and priced at $13.

The MINT Tavern is combining Cinco de Mayo and Kentucky Derby to bring guests drink specials fit for both celebrations. The steed-filled fiesta includes $5 Sauza margaritas, $5 mint juleps and $3 Sauza shots starting at 12 p.m. while showing the race on 18 High-Definition TVs. In addition to festive libations, the Derby de Mayo festivities will continue into the night with live entertainment performed by soul diva, Renee Davis, of the Solid Gold Soul show at Bally’s Las Vegas and Freddie B and the Jazz Band. Entertainment will begin at 9 p.m. and conclude at midnight.

On May 6, Monkey Bar at SLS Las Vegas will offer the Smoked Piña cocktail, priced at $9; Mexican beer and a Cazadores Reposado tequila shot for $7; and classic margaritas for $6.

Northside Café & Chinese Kitchen at SLS Las Vegas will offer chilaquiles verdes, complete with two fried eggs over tortillas topped with chorizo, Cotija cheese and pico de gallo, priced at $9.95; choice of Baja fish, carne asada or al pastor street tacos served with charro beans, chips and a Corona, for $10.95; classic margaritas for $6; bottles of Mexican beer for $4; and a Mexican beer and Cazadores Reposado tequila shot special, priced at $7.

Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant , located in Downtown Summerlin, will host an all-day fiesta featuring mariachis, live sports-talk radio, appearances by former NFL players, traditional Mexican food and tequila shot specials on Saturday, May 5. A mariachi band will spice up the festivities with traditional Mexican music for partygoers from noon until 5 p.m. Available throughout the restaurant, guests can enjoy Pancho’s Patrón Barrel Select Reposado shots, priced at $6.95 each. The fiesta will continue throughout the night with live music in the cantina by Siana King, beginning at 7 p.m. From noon until 3 p.m., J.T. from “J.T. the Brick Show,” will host his live radio show inside Pancho’s cantina with former NFL Raiders players including: Rod Martin, Reggie Kinlaw, Frank Hawkins, Napolean McCallum, Leo Gray, Linden King and Jeff Barnes. Autographs and photos will be available inside the cantina. Guests can enjoy Pancho’s signature menu items including Enchiladas Suizas, corn tortillas filled and rolled with chicken, then covered with Salsa Verde Especial, topped with sliced avocados and sour cream and served with Mexican-style rice and beans, priced at $15.95 for lunch and $19.95 for dinner; Carne Asada a la Ab, thin, charbroiled flat-iron steak served with a cheese enchilada, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and Mexican-style rice and beans, served on a hot skillet, priced at $20.95 for lunch and $25.95 for dinner; and “Wahoo” Fish Tacos, made with two flour tortillas filled with grilled Wahoo fish, shredded cabbage, pico de gallo and chipotle sour cream, served with Mexican-style rice and beans, sour cream and guacamole, priced at $16.95 for lunch and $18.95 for dinner.

The Park will host Tequila Mania from noon to 8 p.m. May 4 and 5. Guests can stroll the vibrantly decorated outdoor experience, enjoying live Mariachi bands and traditional folk dancers, all while savoring a variety of drinks and bites. Special offerings include savory taco cones and ice cream tacos at Beerhaus; samples of signature Cinco cocktails at the historic 1942 Don Julio Truck which will be visiting The Park for  the duration of the event; and much more.

The Plaza hotel-casino is planing the biggest Cinco de Mayo party in Downtown Las Vegas. The party will be feature a variety of entertainment, including 8 Lucha Libre wrestling matches. A Mariachi band and Folklorico dancers will entertain guests under the dome and bring the festivities inside as they parade through the Plaza’s casino floor. A DJ will also be at the dome party spinning top radio hits with a mix of Latin music.  The Plaza will again have downtown’s largest piñata with prizes, including cash, match play vouchers, free drink coupons and food vouchers. Authentic food and drinks specials will be available all night long, including street tacos from Zaba’s Mexican Grill, Margaritas, Micheladas, Modelo beer and shots of Patron Tequila.

All day on Cinco de Mayo, PUB 365 will offer the following food specials: Mexican seafood gazpacho ($6), a platter featuring a carne asada taco, a pork al pastor taco, a spicy shrimp taco and a carnitas sope ($15), dulce de leche churros and vanilla ice cream ($7). PUB 365 will also feature the following beers each for $3.65: Dust Bowl Brewing Taco Truck Lager, Dust Bowl Brewing Taco Tuck Amber, Carona, Carona Premier, Dos Equis, Modelo and Pacifico.  

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo like the Irish at Rí Rá Las Vegas by indulging in traditional holiday dishes with an Irish twist, including Corned Beef Quesadilla ($10), house brined corned beef with a blend of cheddar and jack cheese served with homemade Pico de Gallo and savory sour cream; Fish Tacos ($14), two traditional beer battered fish served in a corn tortilla with shredded cabbage and house jalapeno sauce; Nachos ($15), potato chips topped with spicy ground lamb and beef combination with refried white beans, cheddar and jack cheeses, sour cream, Pico de Gallo and guacamole; or Chicken Enchiladas ($16), pulled chicken, rolled up in corn tortillas, topped with enchilada sauce and melted cheddar and jack cheeses, served with refried beans, rice, Pico de Gallo and creamy sour cream. The Cinco de Mayo specialty menu will only be available on Saturday, May 5 while supplies last.

Sunrise Community Center, 5710 E. Judson Ave., will host a Cinco de Mayo celebration from 4:30 to 7 p.m. May 4. There will be free food, a car show, an appearance by Mojave Max, performances by Charros de Las Vegas and the Sunrise High School mariachi band, vendor booths from more than 40 community organizations, boxing and martial arts exhibitions, bounce houses for children, and live music.

Tacos & Tequila at the Luxor is bringing back its annual Sexy de Mayo Fiesta. The restaurant is inviting guests to meet and mingle with sizzling international model and popular social media personality, Carmen Ortega, dance to the sounds of world-renowned Los Angeles-based mariachi band, Mariachi Los Toros [mariachilostoros.com], and enjoy $5 drink specials including el Jimador shots and Dos Equis. The event is open to the public, with no admission fee or minimum purchase required.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip with festive activities, food and drink specials, and more happening at a two-day outdoor fiesta at Tequila Mania at The Park , May 4-5, from 12-8 p.m. daily.

The annual Cinco de Mayo Festival at Texas Station will feature authentic Mexican food, artisan crafts and vendors and fun for the entire family. Traditional music from local bands will be played throughout the event. It will start at 4 p.m. May 5.

Therapy Restaurant , located in Downtown Las Vegas, will get into the holiday spirit for Cinco de Mayo with food and drink offerings from Friday, May 4 through Sunday, May 6. Downtown celebrators can commemorate the Mexican holiday with the Mas Caliente cocktail, made with a spicy blend of Rayu Mezcal, triple sec, lime juice, simple syrup, orange juice and dashes of firewater bitters, priced at $12. The restaurant will also be pouring glasses of Del Sol beer and Dos Armadillos tequila shots, both priced at $5. Therapy will also serve the specialty Nachos Locos dish, created with blue corn tortilla chips topped with braised chicken thighs, tomatillo salsa, white cheddar cheese sauce, Fresno chili peppers, avocado and sour cream, priced at $13.95.

Tivoli Village will host a Cinco de Mayo celerbation from 3 to 11 p.m. May 5. There will be traditional Mexican street food by Leticia's Mexican Cocina, including “elote” Mexican grilled corn, tacos, churros and Leticia’s signature margaritas and a variety of beers available for purchase. There will be additional festive beverages from PKWY Tavern, foodie pop ups by Fusion Beastro and Frozen Frog, and L Makeup Institute will be on-site. Two stages will feature live entertainment by Mexico Vivo, the Randy Anderson band, Crush, the Claudine Castro band and mariachi Herencia De Las Vegas, as well as local dancers. In addition, there will be a classic car show featuring more than 100 hot rods plus bikes and pedal cars. Proceeds of show will benefit People Autism Foundation.

XCYCLE Las Vegas will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with its annual ‘Cycle Then Cinco’ class. Instructors will craft playlists by Latin artists, choreographed to a 45-minute workout, while riders are encouraged to cycle in Cinco de Mayo gear. Classes will be offered on Saturday, May 5 starting at 8, 9 and 10 a.m.
