This is the latest restaurant news from around the Las Vegas valley.

1. Bandito Latin Kitchen & Cantina is now open on Hughes Center Drive The new restaurant's decor is a mix of rustic and modern featuring finished metal, hand-distressed wood, vibrant colors and 2 larger-than-life murals. Executive Chris Kight turns out dishes inspired by the food of Latin America, with a heavy emphasis on Mexico. Signature items include fried octopus, chicharron and arugula salad, turkey chorizo albondigas, habanero shrimp, a variety of tacos and more. The cantina program offers a line of creative cocktails that will rotate seasonally. Owned and operated by industry veteran Kent Harman.

2. Meet the new executive chef, Joshua Bianchi, for Alize at the Top of Palms during an exclusive dinner June 30. The "Meet the Chef" dinner will be a multi-course experience to showcase his new dishes and takes on classic Alizé fare. The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by the five-course menu at 7 p.m. Menu highlights include duo of Hamachi and Ahi tuna tartar, sauteed soft shell crab, seared Husdon Valley foie gras, crackling pork belly, braised beef short ribs and strawberry-rhubabr meringue. Each course is paired with a specific wine. Cost is $170 per person (tax, beverage and gratuity not included). 3. Americana is introducing a new daily social hour, which includes half-off cuisine, cocktails, wines and beer from 3 to 6 p.m., daily. Pricing applies to nearly the entire menu including Nantucket scallops, smoked lamb chops over pan-seared gnocchi, market-select oysters and more. Other restrictions apply. Americana is located at 2620 Regatta Drive in Desert Shores.

4. Honey Salt is going Cajun at its next Guest Chef Dinner on June 27. Chef Will Staten will delight guests with his spicy Creole flavors direct from New Orleans. Menu highlights include deep fried ribs, blackened catfish po' boy sliders, applewood salad, classic gumbo, triple cheese honey cornbread, pimento-stuffed jalapenos, and salted chocolate and caramel bread pudding. Cost is $54 per person with an optional wine pairing for $25.

5. Wienerschnitzel has added new Schnitzel chicken sandwiches to its permanent menu. Available sandwiches include classic ranch ($3.49), BBQ bacon ($3.99) and Blazin’ Bacon Guacamole ($4.49). Each Schnitzel Sandwich is made with a crispy, potato chip breaded chicken patty.

6. Public House on Restaurant Row inside the Palazzo has launched a daily Happy Hour from 3 to 5 p.m. Enjoy $6 appetizers of fried cauliflower with sweet chili sauce, poutine of french fries covered in duck confit, cheese curds and stout gravy, beer-brined chicken wings with Calabrian chili glaze and bleu cheese dressing, and a mix-and-match charcuterie. Pitchers of Blood Marys are also available for $28 and pitchers of sangria are $20. Individual glasses are only $6 and $5, respectively. 

7. Tennesseasonings, a restaurant dedicated to serving tried and true East Tennessee BBQ, has rolled out Smoked Bologna Wednesdays. Every Wednesday, BBQ lovers can enjoy the special menu item, as a sandwich with coleslaw, chips and choice of sauce for $11, or as hearty platefuls starting at $12.50, which can include additional meat, and two to three southern sides. Each sandwich or plate comes with two slices of smoked bologna and recommended to be enjoyed with the restaurant’s tangy mustard sauce.

8. Cleo at SLS Las Vegas recently launched its new Social Hour menu, which showcases Chef Danny Elmaleh's acclaimed contemporary regional cuisine.  Favorites like salads, flatbreads, dips with laffa, select beers and house wines are now available with special pricing from 5 to 7 p.m., and everything is under $10.

9. Pink Taco inside the Hard Rock Hotel has launched new brunch and happy hour menus crafted by Chef Crystal Parker. Pink Taco puts a south of the border spin on classic brunch items. Menu highlights include smoked pork bennies, churro waffles, a chorizo skillet, Hangover Green Chile Chicken Stew, empanadas, and tres leches pancakes. Brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Happy Hour happens from 4 to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Enjoy $7 specials including margaritas, sangria, wine, zonkey fries, fried hominy, margarita chicken wings, grilled Spanish octopus, grilled skewers, chicken taquitos and more.

10. There's a new PT's Gold in south Las Vegas. It is located at 4880 W. Silverado Ranch Road. The PT’s Gold menu features a wide selection of appetizers, pizzas, salads, sandwiches and entrees. The beverage selection includes featured beers produced by PT’s Brewing Company. PT’s award-winning happy hour takes place daily from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. During happy hour, all PTEG taverns offer 50 percent off drinks and pizzas and select appetizers for $5. PT’s Gold is part of the Golden Rewards player loyalty program and the Beer & Bites dining loyalty program.

11. The nation's most popular Irish pub, Rock & Reilly's, is now open in the Hawaiian Marketplace on the Las Vegas Boulevard. The 6,700-square-foot restaurant, bar and patio offers traditional Irish pub grub including Irish nachos, Irish cheddar grilled cheese and tomato soup, corned beef sliders, fish & chips, Dublin Street tacos, whiskey bingo wings and the pub's signature Famous Four Group Mac & Cheese. The restaurant also features live entertainment by talent from all over the world. 

12. HEXX Kitchen + Bar at Paris Las Vegas has introduced several new menu items, highlighting fresh, seasonal ingredients for the summer. New entrées include king salmon served with black quinoa risotto, wild mushrooms and crispy garlic gremolata; gemelli pasta made with beef and pork Bolognese, topped with burrata and fresh basil; gnocchi made with lobster and smoked pork belly, topped with fresh peas and herbs; scallops served  with heirloom carrots, spinach, smoked onion purée and crispy Benton’s ham; vegetable pizza topped with peppers, broccolini, Brussels sprouts, tomato and fresh mozzarella; and Benton’s ham pizza topped with Boursin cheese, arugula and an over easy egg.

13. The Black Sheep is now open, featuring an original take on casual modern American-Vietnamese food by chef and partner Jamie Tran. Signature dishes include bao sliders with housemade pork sausage; braised duroc pork belly with seasonal mushrooms and sticky rice; fried whole rainbow trout; a Scottish King salmon clay pot; slow-cooked short ribs and more. Starters range from $5-13 and entrees from $17-25, with a daily happy hour from 5-6 p.m. and 10-11 p.m. featuring $1 oysters and food and drink specials. Located at 8680 W. Warm Springs Road.
