Red Rock Women's Pro Open Tournament this weekend at Red Rock Country Club
2:22 PM, Sep 5, 2017
The week long USTA Women's Pro Circuit tournament runs Sept. through Sept. 17 and features rising stars of the Women's Tennis Association from the United States and around the world competing for $60,000 in total prize money – an increase from $50,000 in previous years.
Also, new this year, we moved up the timing of the tournament by two weeks so it's immediately following the US Open. We expect the hype and excitement from the US Open to carry over into our event--and of course, the extra $10,000 in prize money adds a little more incentive.
Two local players will also have a chance to play against the pros.
The Red Rock Women's Pro Open kicks off at Red Rock Country Club this Sunday, September 10, with a FREE Kids Day event sponsored by Sunrise Children's Hospital.
The event runs from 4 to 6 p.m. and admission is free.
Kids will have a chance to meet and play tennis with the pros and enjoy a number of fun games and activities.
Tickets are also really affordable for viewers to come check out the tournament all week long:
Tickets for the qualifying rounds on Sunday and Monday are FREE. Tickets for main draw matches during the week start at just $5 weekend tickets start at $10 Friday for quarterfinals, $15 Saturday for semifinals and $20 on Championship Sunday for the finals.
