Celebrate Valentine's Day with Glenfiddich, The Kitchen at Atomic

Need a little something to spice up your Valentine's Day plans? We have two great in-studio guests with ideas.

Jennifer Wren of Glenfiddich and Justin Hall of The Kitchen at Atomic joined the midday show to give viewers a few ideas for Valentine's Day meals and cocktails.

Jennifer Wren’s Glenfiddich Cocktails:

“ME” - A Rich and Luscious Variation of an Old Fashioned with Glenfiddich 14:

  • 2 parts Glenfiddich 14 Year Bourbon Barrel Reserve
  • 1/4 part Filthy Cherries syrup
  • 2 dashes Bitter Queens Chocolate Walnut Bitters
  • 1 dash Bitter Truth Spiced Chocolate Bitters
  • 1 Sugar Cube
  • Orange Peel and Salted-Chocolate to Garnish

In a double rocks glass, muddle the Sugar Cube, both bitters, and orange peel.  Add the Filthy Cherries Syrup and Glenfiddich 14 Year Bourbon Barrel Reserve, then one large ice cube and stir.  Garnish with grated Salted Chocolate (or your Chocolate Bar of preference.

“YOU” – A Variation of a Traditional Highball with Glenfiddich 12

  • 2 parts Glenfiddich 12-Year-Old Signature Reserve:
  • .25 parts Your Sweet Love Potion*
  • 2Dashes Rose Water
  • Sparkling Water to taste
  • Strain into a highball glass, top with ice and 8 oz. Soda Water, Garnish with a lemon twist

*Your Sweet Love Potion is 1 Cup Sugar, dissolved into 1 Cup Water, add 2 Teaspoons Rosewater, 2 Teaspoons Orange Blossom Water, 2 Tablespoons lightly crushed pink Peppercorn, and 1 Tablespoons Whole Cardamom Pods. Simmer on a stovetop until sugar has completely dissolved. Let sit for 30 minutes and strain.

In a shaker, combine Glenfiddich 12-Year-Old Signature Reserve, Lover’s Syrup, Rose Water and stir. Pour Glenfiddich 12 Year Old Signature Reserve into a highball glass, followed by mixture from your shaker. Add ice and fill to top with sparkling water. Stir gently and garnish with a lemon twist.
