Casino gaming in Las Vegas is insanely popular - no question about it. But did you know that Las Vegas is also one of the top ten cities for a different kind of gaming?
According to a recent study from WalletHub, Las Vegas ranks as the 7th best city in the U.S. for those who play video games. Experts compared 100 different cities across 20 key indicators of gamer-friendliness, including average internet speed, video-game stores per capita, and the number of esports tournaments.
As it turns out, Las Vegas has more video game store per capita than any other city. Vegas also tied with Orlando, Florida for the most arcades per capita.
Orlando also took the top spot on the list as the best city in the country for gamers, as they rank 1st for "Gaming Environment" and 2nd for "Gamer and Developer Opportunities." These opportunities include the number of video game job openings per capita and the number of video game college programs.
