A local grooming shop had a loud and unexpected surprise Thursday afternoon.

An SUV plowed into the front of Clip-N-Tails grooming shop.

"The car came crashing through the front window," said co-owner Janelle Anderson.

The driver of the SUV is a Clip-N-Tails client. She was dropping her dog off at the shop when she became disoriented and mistook the gas for the brake.

Anderson immediately ran up to the vehicle and opened the passenger side door.

"Are you ok? Are you ok?" asked Anderson to the driver. "She grabbed my arm and said I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I will pay for everything I'm so sorry."

Two employees were behind the main desk when the SUV came plowing in.

One of the employees pushed the other out of the way to safety.

Anderson and her mother, the other owner of the shop, are counting their blessings tonight because this incident could have been so much worse.

"If it would have been moments before, I don't even want to think of what could have happened," said Anderson. "Where the car hit is exactly where our clients stand when they are dropping their dogs off and picking them up."

Anderson tells 13 Action News there was a group of people, including an infant, standing in that very spot just seconds before the crash.

Within hours, the front of the shop was boarded up and ready to reopen for business Friday morning.

Clip-N-Tails wants to say thank you to all of their clients for being so felxible and understanding and they want to remind everyone they will be open again December 15!
