Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - A trial date has been set for Oct. 19 for Erich Nowsch and his lawyers say that they are not ready.
Nowsch is the young man accused of shooting and killing Tammy Meyers several months ago.
Nowsch's attorney says that the police department has not allowed them full and speedy access to the evidence they need.
The judge scheduled another status check for next week to see how things are going.
Tammy Meyer's husband was in court, but did not want to speak on camera.
An attorney for the Meyer's family told Action News on Wednesday that both Nowsch and Derek Andrews, who is accused of driving the getaway car, turned down potential plea deals.
Andrews was not in court, but his lawyers were.
