A startup company called Five Star Sitters is quickly becoming a hit for providing parents with "babysitters on demand."
Danica Speer and Celene Yocum founded the business that's been making life easier for parents across the valley.
From Speer's kitchen, they can run what has become a thriving babysitting service.
Five Star Sitters is all online, and it can save parents time.
"As soon as you need someone, let [Danica] know and then she'll find someone to fit your needs," said Jen Cloer, a mother who's used Five Star for her two children for years.
Cloer was a performer in a show on the Strip when she had her kids.
She has no family in Las Vegas and her friends all worked with her, so she thought she'd have to leave her job because she couldn't find a sitter.
Cloer says her experience with other babysitting services was a nightmare.
"I had girls ask me if it's okay to walk around with the baby," Cloer said. "I was like, what? They would ask me how to hold her and I was like oh my gosh this is terrible."
Speer says the 62 sitters that work for her are background checked, reference checked and CPR certified.
"We personally interview them to make sure their personalities and experience is going to be a fit for our families," Speer said.
They can get parents sitters in less than 24 hours, but it's not quite like Uber for childcare.
The matches are done more thoughtfully, and it pays off.
"Without them we wouldn't be able to have those date nights, work, do jobs," Cloer said. "We have like a solid handful of five to six girls that we love and it's wonderful."
Convenience for parents has proven to be big business. We found nearly a dozen other highly rated online babysitting services in the Las Vegas valley.
