Las Vegas breaking news for January 3, 2019

The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

5:45 P.M.

Las Vegas police were at the scene of a critical crash involving a pedestrian on Boulder Highway, near US-95. Police said a vehicle struck a person in the southbound travel lanes on Boulder Highway. This pedestrian was outside of a marked crosswalk. Road closures were reported for the on-scene investigation.

7:40 A.M.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue is on the scene of a fire at 115 Palm Lane near East Washington Avenue and 1st Street. Occupants have been evacuated. No injuries reported.

2:45 A.M.

Three people were treated for smoke inhalation after an apartment fire at Riverbend Village on Spencer Street. Clark County Fire Department says that the fire started in the bedroom. There were 3 people in the apartment at the time of the fire. One person was transported to UMC for non-life-threatening injuries. One dog was found dead inside the residence. The cause is not known at this time.
