LATEST:  The Nevada Gaming Control Board opened an online portal today for the public to submit statements regarding any publicly announced investigation.  Statements submitted via this link remain confidential, officials said.

ORIGINAL:

The Nevada Independent is reporting that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has received two reports of sexual assault by casino mogul Steve Wynn.

According to the complaints, both incidents happened in the 1970s -- one in Las Vegas and one in Chicago.

Las Vegas police will investigate the complaint but the statute of limitations on sexual assault is 20 years in Nevada.

The other complaint will be forwarded to the appropriate people in Chicago.

Wynn stepped down as CEO of Wynn Resorts last week even though he insists that he is innocent. He also claims that his ex-wife, Elaine Wynn, is behind the allegations.

Wynn is currently being investigated by the Nevada Gaming Board and regulators in Massachusetts and Macau.

LVMPD has confirmed The Nevada Independent's report. Wynn Resorts say they have not been contacted by police.
