A 66-year-old Las Vegas man died in a crash not far from the Nevada-California state line last week.
Around 4:30 a.m. July 9, a 2006 Hyundai Elantra sedan was traveling northbound on Interstate 15, just north of the state line, when for unknown reasons, the driver entered the right dirt shoulder, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol Monday. The car then struck a rock embankment and overturned.
Alfredo Cervantes-Chavez was transported to UMC Trauma when he was pronounced deceased on July 10.
