Two major retailers in Las Vegas have announced the need to hire seasonal workers for the 2018 holiday shopping season.
JCPenney and Bass Pro Shops will be holding hiring events in October, ahead of the expected busy holiday rush.
JCPenney is preparing by hiring 200 seasonal associates for a variety of store positions.
The company will be hosting its second annual National Hiring Day event in stores nationwide on Oct. 16 from 2-8 p.m.
During the event, management will be holding in-person interviews and making employment offers to qualified candidates.
Bass Pro Shops is also looking to fill several dozen seasonal positions in the Las Vegas valley, according to a company spokesperson.
These positions will be available in retail, contact centers, distribution centers, and others.
The retailer will hold its National Hiring Event on Oct. 18 with on-site interviews conducted during normal business hours.
