LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Two cousins say they were trying to enjoy the picturesque beauty within the Desert Shores community last week when the scenery turned ugly.

April Braswell and Arleevia McLeod said it all started when they prepared to watch the sunset and they noticed a slow-moving car crest a hill.

"We just noticed a strange car kind of going up the hill, kind of a slow speed, and he looked our way and just kept rolling," said Braswell.

The cousins continued watching the sunset when the same car appeared moments later and pulled over.

"He turned around, pulled over to the side as if he was going to as a question, maybe for directions, and he was pleasuring himself," said McLeod.

"It was a very stunning thing," added McLeod.

The man, the cousins said, had a smirk on his face.

"He made eye contact with us and he was pleasuring himself and he made sure that we saw him doing that," said McLeod.

The man's private parts were totally exposed during the incident and he slowly drove away seconds later.

"I think it was very bold, I think he felt invincible," said Braswell.

The cousins reported the incident to the Desert Shores Community Association.

"They basically said that there was another incident that happened a couple of weeks prior with the same person, possibly, and so they said they were glad we reached out to them but told us to contact the police," said McLeod.

The cousins said they tried to report the incident to Las Vegas police but claim they could not file a report because they did not have a key piece of information.

"We gave them a description and everything we had, but they said we can't file a report, because we don't have a license plate number," said McLeod.

The Desert Shores Community Association attorney, John Leach, confirms there are multiple reports of indecent exposure and security has been put on alert.

Leach said the community has no idea if the man lives in Desert Shores or the surrounding area.

A review of crime reports in the area show four additional indecent exposure incidents within a 1.5-mile radius of Desert Shores in the past four weeks.

13 Action News has contacted Las Vegas Police about the incidents for any commonality but the request was not immediately returned.

The man's description:

  • Caucasian, 20s
  • Dirty blonde hair, shoulder length
  • Noticeable acne

The vehicle description:

  • 2009-2014 Ford Mustang
  • Grey or Silver
  • Hard stop (non-convertible)
  • Black stripe along the hood, roof, and trunk
