UPDATE ON DEC. 29: An arrest report revealed new details about the arrest of Raynard Brown, who is facing several charges related to Wednesday's incident.

According to the report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, SWAT officers tried to use non-lethal flashbang grenades to get Brown to comply after he started throwing heavy roof tiles at police officers.

Brown retreated under an eave of the roof and broke into the attic vent. He made his way into the attic, broke a hole through a ceiling drywall, and fell into the home's garage.

After falling, Brown entered the home through a door in the garage that led to the kitchen. But once he was inside, he was confronted by a resident in the home who was armed with a handgun.

Brown smashed through the door that led back to the garage to get away from the resident, and the resident followed. When the resident told Brown to drop his weapon, Brown responded by asking the resident to shoot him.

The resident pushed a nearby garage door opener, raising the garage door. SWAT officers rushed into the garage and took Brown into custody.

Brown is facing felony charges related to the home invasion, and for damaging police vehicles and the homeowner's property.
