ORIGINAL:  Las Vegas police arrested a man suspected in the violent home invasion involving a 76-year-old woman.

Around 5 p.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to the 1700 block of North Jones Boulevard, near Vegas Drive.

Police said the victim provided "an excellent description of the suspect" and as patrol officers arrived, they quickly located a possible suspect at the intersection of Jones Boulevard and Carl Avenue.

According to police, officers were able to determine that the individual stopped on suspicion of being involved in the home invasion robbery was in fact the suspect. He was identified as 62-year-old Lester Eugene Rhone.

Officers learned that during the course of the robbery, Rhone entered the victim’s residence through the front door which was closed, but unlocked. Once inside he confronted the victim and forced her on to a couch. He grabbed a pillow as he stood over the victim and he placed it over her face.
