Amazon Prime Day is upon us! The 36-hour deals event starts at noon.

This year, Amazon is promising to deliver one million deals for the first time.

It almost feels like Christmas or Black Friday in July. Deals started rolling out days before the actual event. Early deals include Amazon device discounts like Kindle and Alexa with savings of up to 50 percent off.

This is good news for one Las Vegas valley teacher who buys most of her school supplies off of Amazon. Following budget cuts, Keri Maier started paying out of pocket for her students' books and other supplies.

"I have some Kindles that I'd like to purchase for some of the school apps that we used. The reading maps or the math apps that we use and so I only have 3 laptops to my classroom. But I'd like to eventually have one on one," she says.

Before you turn on your computer and go online, have a list of things that you need to buy. It's easy to get lost and end up spending way more than you planned with all the deals expected to come out.

But what's worth your money and are you really saving?

If you're looking for fashion finds you can expect to get discounts around 40 to 50 percent off on clothes and shoes for both kids and adults.

For kids, expect to see around 25 percent off on video games.

Experts say Prime Day is worth it if you're looking to buy electronics. You can save $100 on Amazon Echo. You can also get up to $300 off on select mobile phones.

Fitness gadgets, headphones, tablets are deals to look out for later Monday.
