According to police, the gunman is dead.

The shooting at the popular country bar comes just over a year after 58 people were killed at a country music festival in Las Vegas.

According to the LA Times, some people inside the Thousand Oaks bar survived the 1 October shooting.

“A lot of people in the Route 91 situation go here,” one survivor told the LA Times. “There’s people that live a whole lifetime without seeing this, and then there’s people that have seen it twice.”

Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval ordered flags to half-staff until sunset on Nov. 10 in remembrance of the victims.
