From all-ages fun and doggie costume contests to haunted houses so scary you must be at least 17 to enter, here's a list of Halloween events happening in the Las Vegas area in 2019. (Scroll down for family friendly events.)

Nightmare at the Museum -- Haunted House
Fridays and Saturdays in Oct., some Thursdays, 7-11 p.m. at Tom Devlin’s Monster Museum, Boulder City
Nightmare at the Museum is a one of a kind haunted attraction experience! This is a lights out flashlight tour of our creature collection, where visitors will receive a flashlight at the door, and will find out first hand what the monsters will do when the lights go out! The Haunted House will be open every Friday and Saturday in October and every day from Thursday, October 24 - Halloween Night! Hours are 7pm - 11pm nightly. ASYLUM and HOTEL FEAR -- Haunted Houses
Opens Oct. 3 at Meadows Mall, central Las Vegas
Las Vegas Haunts presents 21 Years of FEAR at The Meadows Mall, who transforms this Halloween Season to the home of the ASYLUM and HOTEL FEAR haunted houses, Las Vegas’ largest haunted attractions. New this year is “BLACKOUT” select days at the Asylum! There is a power failure so you must navigate the darkened corridors with nothing but a glow stick!! Experience the Asylum in a whole new light! The excitement happens Thursdays through Sundays in Oct., and Halloween week Oct. 29-31. Blackout dates are Oct. 3, 6, 10 & 20. Partial proceeds benefit Paradise Ranch Foundation, a local charity dealing with mental health though Horse Assisted Therapy. Also good to know, the movies “RUST” and “RUST2” were shot IN the attractions, with “RUST 3” to shoot this October.

Boulder City Haunted Ghost Yard
Begins Oct. 4, Friday & Saturday nights from 7-11 p.m. in Boulder City
Boulder City Haunted Ghost Yard is Southern Nevada's newest and scariest Haunted Attraction! Las Vegas and Henderson - if you are mourning the loss of October favorites like Bonnie Screams and Fright Dome, your new fear is here! To purchase tickets, click here. Scare at Town Square
Oct. 4 through Nov. 10, starts at 7 p.m. at Town Square, south Las Vegas valley
The dynamic and immersive pop-up experience features more than 15,000-square-feet of attractions for thrill-seekers from mild to wild to explore including a haunted maze, phobia rooms, wicked selfie sets, a horror film escape experience, live entertainment, special events and a speakeasy serving custom cocktails. Produced by Experience Productions, Scare at Town Square offers four terrifyingly fun destinations to surprise and delight revelers. Freakling Bros. Trilogy of Terror
Begins Oct. 4, 7 p.m. until late, west Las Vegas
Featured on the show "Ghost Adventures," the Freakling Bros. Trilogy of Terror has three terrifying haunted houses: Gates of Hell (R) - $17 (must be 17 unless with a parent or guardian, nobody under 13 permitted), Castle Vampyre - $15, and Coven of 13 - $15. You can also purchase a "freak pass" for $40 which allows a single trip through all 3 shows, and/or a "fast pass" for $15 (includes free T Shirt) which is good for all 3 attractions all month long. Undead Maze -- Haunted Attraction at Town Square
Begins Oct. 8 at Town Square, south Las Vegas
A haunted attraction will bring a frightfully good time to those that dare to enter. Spanning more than 2,000 square feet of twists and turns, the maze is home to zombies, killer clowns, chainsaws, toxic waste and monsters that lurk behind every dark corner. For the brave souls who enter, the cost is $15 with one hundred percent of the admission proceeds going directly to the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, the most comprehensive service provider for the thousands of homeless youth in Southern Nevada. The Undead Maze will be open for scaring in October from 10am to midnight Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. There is no age requirement but it is best suited for 10 and older.

The Undead Maze -- Haunted House at Tivioli Village
Begins Oct. 8, 6-10 p.m. or 12 a.m. in Tivioli Village, Summerlin area
A haunted attraction will bring a frightfully good time to those that dare to enter when the Undead Maze opens at Town Square on Oct. 8. HORRORWOOD VIDEO
Oct. 18 - Nov. 2, 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. at Majestic Repertory Theatre, Arts District
Majestic Repertory Theatre celebrates Spooky Season with the return of its retro interactive experience: HORRORWOOD VIDEO! The premise is every horror geek’s dream: Horrorwood Video is the last place in Vegas where you can find the rarest fright flicks. Tonight, however, creepy clerk Leon has opened up a vortex. Once you step through it, you’ll find yourself in the middle of the scariest 1980s horror films you’ve never seen, including “Toxic Shock Syndrome,” “Heretic Baby 2: The Reckoning,” and “The 13th Halloween.” The question isn’t whether you’ll get out safely...but will you rack up late fees while trying? Tombstone Tales and Woodlawn Cemetery Walking Tours
Oct. 12, 19, 25, 26, & 31, 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery near downtown Las Vegas
Wander with us through the weathered tombstones of Las Vegas’ oldest cemetery. We’ll unearth the stories of familiar — and unfamiliar — names that made an impact on Nevada before their burial at Woodlawn, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Not appropriate for children 12 and under. Children 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. This tour is not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. Downtown Asylum at Inspire
Oct. 25 through Nov. 2, downtown Las Vegas
Inspire at Las Vegas Boulevard and Fremont Street will transform into the Downtown Asylum. GM Scott Lawrence brings the creep with Halloween décor sourced from professional theatrical companies including coffins, levitating mannequins, motor-controlled door-slamming apparatuses and hair-raising scares around every corner. Rotating horror movies will play in the Wayfarer Theatre located in the haunted ‘basement’ on the ground level while the undead masquerade through smoke machines and laser lights for the ultimate zombie rave on the mid-level. "Ghosts of Goldfield" Screening
Oct. 29, 6-9 p.m. at The Space, near the Las Vegas Strip
UNSHAKEABLE will host its fourth annual fundraising event, a special viewing of the “Most Horrible Horror Movie Ever,” Ghosts of Goldfield, on Oct. 29 from 6-9 p.m. at The Space, located at 3460 Cavaretta Court in Las Vegas. In addition to the screening of the cult classic, the event will also feature light food and beverages. Costumes are encouraged! The event is open to the public, with a discretionary donation collected at the door.

Halloween at The Underground speakeasy
Oct. 31, 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. at The Mob Museum in downtown Las Vegas
This Halloween, revelers donning their best 1920s costumes—flappers and mobsters, whether classic or zombified—can enter the second-annual Halloween costume contest at The Mob Museum’s Underground speakeasy. The evening will include live music on The Underground speakeasy stage by Lady and the Vamp, prizes for the best costume and $10 drink specials, plus tarot card and crystal ball readings by Kate Wind, a practitioner of 1920s-era spiritualism. Grab your ghoul-friends and head over to Gilley’s Saloon, Dance Hall & Bar-B-Que at Treasure Island for a Halloween party Oct. 31. The event will include: A $850 costume contest with $500 first place, $250 second place and $100 third place prizes. Drink specials featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Jack Daniel’s and El Jimador. A Halloween show from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. will take place nightly at the top of the hour, and the High Roller Observation Whee will be lighted in a Halloween color scheme on Oct. 31.

Real Ghost Stories with the Silver State Ghost Hunters
Oct. 29, 5 - 7:30 p.m. at Paseo Verde Library, Henderson
Join the Silver State Ghost Hunters as they share their personal experiences and stories about local haunts, and provide info about the equipment and techniques they use during an investigation. The Silver State Ghost Hunters are a group of Southern Nevada residents who share an interest in the supernatural and investigate reports of hauntings in the area. This event is all ages, free and open to the public! Registration is required. To register, click here.

“Fashion of the Dead” runway show
Oct. 31, 5-7 p.m., Fashion Show Mall on The Las Vegas Strip
Fashion Show Las Vegas will celebrate Halloween with a special Halloween Spook-tacular event on October 31. Locals and shoppers alike will be treated to a haunted “Fashion of the Dead” runway show, retail trick or treating for the kids, scavenger hunt, costume contest, live performance by Las Vegas Dance Academy and more. Participating retailers include Ted Baker, Starbucks, LEGO, Kappa Toys, Sur la Table, Nordstrom, Tory Burch, and more. The event will raise money and awareness for local charity, Thrive Youth Foundation.

Boo at the Zoo
Oct. 31 through Nov. 2, 11-2:30 p.m. at Lion Habitat Ranch, south Las Vegas valley
The Lion Habitat Ranch -- home to “Ozzie,” a five year old giraffe, and more than 30 lions, ostriches, emus and macaws -- will celebrate Halloween from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (last admission is at 2:30pm). The Lions will recieve some extra Halloween themed enrichment. There will be Trick-or-Treat stations around the property. $25 for nonlocal admission or $20 for local admission. One adult admission also includes one child under 14 for free. Children 4 and under are always free. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the gate on the days of the event. POGO passes are good for this event.

Treat Street
Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m. in Downtown Summerlin
Families are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes for trick-or-treating throughout the destination’s common area where participating retailers will distribute candy. Treat Street at Downtown Summerlin is free and open to the public and also includes Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Spooky Block Party on Park Centre Drive; a movie screening featuring “It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” at 5:10 p.m., 5:40 p.m., 6:10 p.m., 6:40 p.m. and 7:10 p.m.

“Howl-O-Ween” Dog Costume Contest
Oct. 31, check in at 4:30 p.m. in Downtown Summerlin
For four-legged family members, Downtown Summerlin hosts a “Howl-O-Ween” dog costume contest benefitting the Animal Foundation on Oct. 31 during Treat Street festivities. Entry fees include a $20 donation ($10 for each additional dog entry). The contest takes place in Macy’s Promenade. Check in begins at 4:30 p.m. The contest starts promptly at 5:30 p.m.

Halloween Ghost Walk at The District
Oct. 31, 5-8 p.m. at The District, Green Valley Ranch
The District at Green Valley Ranch will host a FREE family-friendly Halloween Ghost Walk on Oct. 31. The event, sponsored by radio station Mix 94.1, will feature a Halloween costume contest as well as trick or treating at participating retailers throughout District 1 (look for signs on each participating retailer’s storefront). Young Frankenstein Costume Ball to Benefit Keep Memory Alive
Oct. 31, 8 p.m. - 12 a.m. at Keep Memory Alive Event Center, near downtown Las Vegas
Keep Memory Alive's Puttin' on the Ritz - A Young Frankenstein Halloween Costume Ball will be a night of fun and fright to raise money for a worthy cause. Guests will enjoy live entertainment, surprise appearances, a variety of fiendishly delicious food, wickedly wonderful wines, a beer garden and other "treat-mendous" specialty cocktails from 8 p.m. to midnight Oct. 31. Costumes are highly encouraged and the best costume of the night will win a grand prize. At midnight, the event center's exterior lights will change from orange to purple in honor of National Alzheimer's Awareness Month in November. Trunk or Treat at Tivoli Village

Fit4Mom and Tesla Owners Club are teaming up to create a one-of-a-kind Trunk or Treat at Tivoli Village! With passed candy, face painters, special offers, food trucks, vendors, a Haunted Maze, and a family-friendly Halloween movie showing Disney’s Coco, there will be fun for the whole family! North Las Vegas Safe Halloween
Oct. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m., North Las Vegas
The North Las Vegas Police Department is hosting its 19th annual Safe Halloween Event in the Home Depot parking lot at 1275 W. Craig Road. There will be live entertainment, vendor booths and free trick-or-treating for children 12 and under. The event is free and open to the public. 1275 W. Craig Road

Parade of Mischief
Begins Oct. 4, 7 p.m. in Downtown Summerlin
The frightfully fun, family-friendly parade will fill the streets of Downtown Summerlin on Oct. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26 with mischievous mayhem. With a cast of more than 30 local kids, Parade of Mischief features dancing zombies, ghosts, witches, wizards, wild creatures, a rockin’ dead skeleton band and more. The event is free and open to the public and takes place along Park Centre.

Fire Station Open House: Halloween Safety, Earthquake Preparedness
Oct. 12, 12-3 p.m. at Fire Station 17, southeast Las Vegas valley
Halloween safety will be a focus of the Clark County Fire Department’s community open house on Oct. 12, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Fire Station 17 near Tropicana Avenue and Boulder Highway. Free glow-in-the-dark wristbands and LED tea light candles, to be used in place of real candles, will be given away while supplies last. Earthquake Safety Month and Fire Prevention Week also will be topics covered at the event. Clark County promotes the “Inside by 9” campaign on Halloween night to encourage trick or treating children to be home by 9 p.m. and for local participating household to voluntarily turn off their porch lights at that time. Halloween safety tips and other information is available in English and Spanish at Insideby9.com. The open house will also feature “jaws of life” vehicle demonstrations, fire station/engine tours.

Halloween Pet Costume Contest and Pet Safety Tips
Oct. 12, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Exploration Park, southwest Las Vegas valley
Halloween is around the corner, and it’s important to remember to keep four-legged family members safe, calm and healthy during the holiday. Representatives from the Family, Fur & Fun Festival are offering pet safety, costume and care tips at the free event and during the popular Halloween Pet Costume Contest on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Exploration Park in the Mountain’s Edge Master Planned Community. Attendees are invited to dress up their pets and enter the 1:30 p.m. contest. Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, Funniest Costume, Cutest Costume and Best Family (can include humans and/or multiple pets). Entry is $3 per category. Register by 1 p.m. Exploration Park is located at 9700 S. Buffalo Dr., just south of Blue Diamond Road near the Mountain’s Edge main entrance.

Fall Spook-tacular at Spring Mountain Ranch
Oct. 19, 11-2 p.m. at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, west of Las Vegas
Join park staff for a celebration of all things autumn at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park! This lush green oasis in the desert is one of the few places near Las Vegas where you can watch the leaves change from emerald to gold and enjoy the cool, crisp fall air. Enjoy activities and crafts like aerial apple-bobbing, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin golf, and leaf rubbing. A tractor driven hay-ride on our pastures beneath the towering Red Rock Canyon escarpment await those that venture out of the city. We encourage all visitors to wear their Halloween costumes! Some sweet treats and unique treasures will be for sale, so make sure to bring cash for snacks and gifts. Admission to Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is $10.00 per vehicle and there is no additional charge for this program

Trunk or Treat at Whitney Park
Oct. 24, 6-8 p.m. at Whitney Park, southeast Las Vegas
Kids and their families are invited to dress up in their most ghoulish costumes and trick or treat in a safe and fun environment. The festivities will include live music, face painting, classic cars, games and carnival rides, and a mascot dance off. Attendees also will be able to enjoy a sneak peek at the deigns for Whitney Park’s new aquatic center and splash pad. The proposed aquatic center will include a lazy river, beach, two large slides, and picnic area. Construction is expected to start in late 2020. Whitney Park is located at 5712 Missouri Ave., just west of Boulder Highway.

Mr. Bizzaro's Big Top Boo Bash
Oct. 18-20, Oct. 25-27 in Cornerstone Park, Henderson
Mr. Bizzaro's Big Top Boo Bash will feature a cast of crazy characters underneath a real big top for a frighteningly delightful evening of ridiculous comedy, ghoulish acrobats, fiendish feats of strength and death-defying aerial acts for a wonderfully warped night of mayhem the whole family will enjoy! In the Silver State, what could be a more authentic celebration of Halloween than a Haunted Mine Experience? The McCaw School of Mines will be decorated for free public Haunted Mine Experience. Visitors will be treated to games, candy and a fluorescent rock display provided by the Southern Nevada Gem & Mineral Society. Members of SNGMS have also expressed interest in event preparation, and the organization is currently looking for members interested in donating time as tour guides for The Mine Experience presented to students and on general public Saturdays (first of every month starting Oct 5th). The first-ever Freak The Beat festival and Halloween party will feature musical performances by Mr. Carmack,, hip-hop duo THEY., Andre Power of Soulection, and other favorite Vegas artists like Mike Xavier and 143 Tommy, showcasing the next trends in music and the city’s local up-and-coming artists. Popular event company We The Beat -- the minds behind activations at Life is Beautiful -- is producing the festival.
