Viewers have been reaching out to us about the construction on Fort Apache, near Huntington Cove Parkway.

We sent Chopper 13 over the area to check it out. Honestly, it was a bit of a mess, but it's an organized mess. All of the southbound lanes of Fort Apache are blocked. All of that traffic is being diverted onto the northbound lanes.

We reached out to Clark County to figure out what's going on. It turns out, a developer does have a permit for the construction, and there is reason all of the traffic is being diverted.

Crews are doing some work on the sewage system, so the road is being torn up and it just wouldn't be safe for drivers. There are big holes in the ground and so they are blocking all the lanes to be on the safe side.

Now, there is some good news!  Construction should be done in 10 days. The developer's permit expires on May 12, so we will stay on top of this, just in case construction lasts any longer, but as of right now, Clark County says everything is on schedule.
