As part of "The Main Event" in Project Neon, the Nevada Department of Transportation announced lane reductions and offramp closures along Interstate 15 from May 29-31.
The southbound I-15/Sahara Avenue offramp will shut down from 11 p.m. on May 29 until 4 a.m. on May 30. It will also close May 30 at 10 p.m. until May 31 at 6 a.m.
One southbound lane of I-15 will also shut down between Oakey Boulevard and Sahara Avenue during the same time frames as the offramp closures.
NDOT says that Project Neon, the 4-mile widening of Interstate 15, is about 65 percent complete. They expect construction to finish next summer.
The department is also asking travelers to heed construction signage while traveling through the work zone and to take alternate routes if possible.
