Group submits formal plan to keep Raiders in Oakland

The investment group seeking to build a stadium to keep the Raiders in Oakland has submitted a formal plan to the NFL for the first time.

According to The Mercury News, Sam Singer of Singer Associates says it was submitted by the Fortress Investment Group within the past 10 days to build a replacement stadium at the current Coliseum site. Singer told the Mercury News tweaks were made to a proposal that was submitted in December.

However, some NFL owners are meeting next week in Florida where the Raiders are expected to update them with a new funding plan to build a stadium in Las Vegas, ahead of the Stadium Authority meeting later in the week.
