A former UNLV coach is switching sides in Nevada's biggest basketball rivalry.
Dave Rice, the Runnin' Rebels coach who resigned midway through the season, has been hired as an assistant for the University of Nevada Wolf Pack basketball team in Reno.
Besides being a coach at UNLV for nearly five years, Rice was also a member of the Runnin' Rebels 1990 national championship team.
Last week, UNLV officially hired Marvin Menzies to be the new men's basketball coach.
