The Storm youth hockey organization were the first skaters to take the ice at T-Mobile Arena Wednesday evening.
They had a chance to lace up their skates and drop the puck on the newly installed ice.
There were even a few former NHL stars in the audience watching the kids skate.
Las Vegas' NHL team will take to the ice in fall 2017.
