Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- UNLV fans gathered at the Thomas & Mack Tuesday afternoon to give the Runnin' Rebels a raucous send-off.
The UNLV men's basketball team is headed for San Jose, California for the NCAA Tournament. They'll face the Cal Bears on Thursday afternoon.
Coach Dave Rice and the team left the Thomas & Mack at about 5 p.m. to fly to the San Jose area.
Many fans will be making the trip. Action News spoke with some Runnin' Rebel die-hards who found flights to the Bay Area, while others are set to start the 9-hour drive or travel by bus.
UNLV and Cal sold out their ticket allotment within 24 hours of the game being announced.
Some tickets are still available through other ticket resale websites.
