Raiders suspend McClain for 2 games
ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) -- The Oakland Raiders have suspended linebacker Rolando McClain for two games for conduct detrimental to the team.
Coach Dennis Allen announced the decision on Friday. Fox Sports first reported the suspension.
McClain was asked to leave practice on Wednesday and told not to come to the team facility on Thursday because of undisclosed team-related issue. Allen said Thursday there needed to be "consequences to his actions."
McClain was the eighth overall pick in the 2010 draft. He has struggled so far in his career and has had his playing time sharply reduced in recent weeks.
