World Series of Poker begins at the Rio in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The mother of all poker tournaments began this weekend at the Rio Hotel and Casino.
The cards were dealt for the first round of the main event in the World Series of Poker just after noon on Saturday.
Play will continue until July 16 when the field will be narrowed down to the final table of nine players.
There is $60 million in prize money this year.
The winner will take home almost $9 million and the coveted main event championship bracelet.
