Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - Former UNLV basketball players and Rebel Nation returned to Las Vegas this past weekend to help throw former coach Jerry Tarkanian a surprise 81st birthday party.
Runnin' Rebel legends Larry Johnson and Reggie Theus attended, along with other notables: Anderson Hunt, Dave Rice, Eldridge Hudson, Freddie Banks, Mark Warkentein, Tim Grgurich, Tom Thibedau, Gene Keady, Oscar Goodman, and Carolyn Goodman.
The celebration reached beyond Tarkanian's UNLV days. Friends from other coaching stops also attended. Those include Riverside City College, Pasadena City College, and Long Beach State.
