Softball coach arrested for alleged relationship with student

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Silverado High School varsity softball coach Albert S. Hernandez has been arrested for an alleged sexual relationship with a student.

Hernandez, 43, was arrested today by the Clark County School District police. He was taken into custody off-campus without incident and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.

He is being charged with two counts of sex between a school employee and student; three counts of distributing child pornography; and one count of production of child pornography.

Hernandez is known in the community for his work as the coach for a local youth softball team.

School police are asking for anyone who has information about the case, including any other victims, to contact them at 799-7830, ext. 5262.
