Students from the DJ Learning Lab at the Enterprise Library put on a show for EDC fans as they arrived in Las Vegas on Thursday.

DJ Juan, DJ Samurai Jack, and DJ Naavi - all teens - each played a set at Terminal 3 in McCarran Airport.

The DJ Learning Lab is run by Salvador Avila, and gives students ages 13-17 the opportunity to utilize state-of-the-art DJ equipment to produce their own shows. Avila says the program helps teens develop cognitive skills, critical thinking, public speaking, and performance etiquette.

Part of Avila's desire to help students comes from his background.

"I'm a Librarian by trade," he said. "I have a Master of Arts in Library Science."

The program also gives students the chance to showcase their skills in front of a live audience. They perform at First Friday every month, and they've also created sets for the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay and the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.
