More than 100 children accompanied their parents to work Thursday morning for Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day at NV Energy.
The kids learned all about how energy is generated, the importance of safety, and even how to protect themselves when using the internet. NV Energy linemen were on hand to offer a bucket truck demonstration and discuss job functions, while the company’s fleet of electric vehicles was also on display for the kids to explore.
NV Energy looks forward to this event every year with the opportunity to teach future generations about the industry and introduce career opportunities.
It was an action-packed day for the potential engineers, linemen and office personnel.
