The Henderson Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Henderson Class of 2016 created Free Little Libraries, a "take a book, return a book" exchange program.

The Henderson Libraries Foundation and Inspirada hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Jolly Beans Café on July 19 to commemorate the program.

According to a press release, the 2016 Leadership Henderson Class created the program along with the Henderson Libraries Foundation to expand the outreach of libraries within the community.

Free Little Libraries are available in three of the Inspirada community parks within the Aventura, Potenza, and Solista communities.

Future plans for the program include more Free Little Libraries throughout Henderson, book drives to fill the little libraries, and coordination of corporate sponsors to keep the program going.
