The Las Vegas Philharmonic and the Brandenburg State Theater Orchestra, Cottbus announced the American German Cultural Exchange Fellowship (AGCEF) in which both organizations will exchange guest artists with their respective orchestras.

German violinist, Tobias Feldmann, will perform Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D Major with the Las Vegas Philharmonic on Nov. 5, 2016 as part of the first exchange of the AGCEF. Meanwhile, American violinist will perform Barber's Violin Concerto  on November 18-20 with the Brandenburg State Theater Orchestra.

The idea for the exchange came from Dorothee Hennings-Holtmann, who also offered to underwrite the AGCEF.

Jeri Crawford, President & CEO of the Las Vegas Philharmonic, said that the group is grateful to Hennings-Holtmann for her support of the program.

"The opportunity to exchange and showcase extraordinary artists like Alexi Kenney and Tobias Feldmann mark an exciting time for our orchestra," said Crawford. He added that the exchange underscores the orchestra's commitment to supporting young professionals in their music career and introducing audiences to talent from around the globe.

As the AGCEF program continues to develop, both organizations hope to include emerging composers and conductors in future exchanges.
