The Junior League of Las Vegas is doing its part to help the community.

The nonprofit spent Saturday morning packing food so that hundreds disadvantaged families will have a warm meal this Thanksgiving holiday.

One hundred volunteers from Junior League helped stuff grocery bags with canned goods and other non-perishable items at HELP of Southern Nevada.

Celebrating its 70th year of service in the community, one of Junior League’s primary missions is to improve the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

For more than 30 years, Junior League has provided volunteer support to HELP to pack thousands of bags of food so that families in need will have a Thanksgiving Day meal.

Trader Joe’s, Sprouts and Fresh & Easy generously donated hundreds of paper bags for the food packaging.
