Habitat for Humanity creates first two-story home for local family

Habitat for Humanity is taking things to the next level--literally.

The nonprofit has created it's first two-story home, and handed over the keys to new homeowners Simeon and Ada on Aug. 28.

With support from the City of Henderson, this is the final home dedication of the six that Habitat Las Vegas began construction on at the beginning of the year.

With the six completed homes in the Pittman region, Habitat continues to assist and support the City of Henderson’s Eastside Redevelopment project, helping to revitalize and strengthen our communities.

Habitat raised the walls on the 105th home in February, in partnership with the Desert Spring United Methodist Church who hosted a fundraising event to raise more than $80,000 in three weeks.
