Derek and Greg Stevens, owners of the D Las Vegas, Golden Gate hotel-casino and Downtown Las Vegas Center, are continuing to invest in downtown Las Vegas by purchasing three well-known properties.

The Stevens brothers have purchased the land that currently houses three Granite Gaming Group properties including Mermaids and La Bayou casinos and the famous strip club Topless Girls of Glitter Gulch.

Granite Gaming Group will continue to operate the casinos and strip club until their anticipated closing date of June 27. Current employees of Mermaids and La Bayou will be offered priority interview opportunities for new positions at the D and Golden Gate.

Derek Stevens told 13 Action News that he is working on plans for a new hotel and casino on Fremont Street.

The brothers also purchased Clark County's Bridger Building near 3rd Street and Bridger Avenue in March.
