Shriners Hospitals for Children Open underway at TPC Summerlin

The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, a PGA Tour event, is now underway at TPC Summerlin.

PGA Tour professionals teed off early Thursday morning and are competing for a share of the $6.6 million tournament purse.

It's not just about golf though.

There will be a variety of fun and unique experiences throughout the course during the tournament.

A 10,000-square-foot pavilion named The Hill will offer guests unbeatable views of the 16th, 17th and 18th holes, along with featured beverages and comfortable seating areas. Fans can catch up with other sports news as well, thanks to numerous televisions throughout the venue. Entrance to The Hill is complimentary to all tournament ticket holders.

Credentialed guests can enjoy unlimited beer, wine, soda and water at PKWY Patio, located on the 17th Green. Besides great hospitality, PKWY Patio offers a stunning view of one of the tournament’s finishing holes. Tickets to PKWY Patio are $99 per day. Located on the 15th Green, AutoNation Social Media Lounge offers an up-close and personal view of the tournament while providing attendees a chance to share the action with their friends at home. The on-site photo booth makes instant sharing fun and easy.

Open to all guests, the 18th Fairway Fan Zone is packed full of food and fun. Attendees can join the action with a virtual Topgolf experience while sampling from the many food trucks on-site. In addition, fans can enjoy signature drinks from Tito’s Handmade Vodka as they explore the course.

UNLV students, faculty and staff can receive a free ticket to each day of tournament play, Nov. 3-6, by showing their university ID (Rebel Card) at the admissions trailer onsite at TPC Summerlin. UNLV students can also take advantage of free transportation on Saturday, Nov. 5. A tournament shuttle will pick-up from the UNLV Transit Center every half hour.

UNLV alumni can receive a free ticket to each day of tournament play by showing their Alumni Association card or the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open UNLV Alumni flyer.

All attendees of Shriners Hospitals for Children Open are encouraged to show their UNLV pride by wearing red on Nov. 5.

In addition, Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is offering two complimentary tickets to first responders and military personnel to attend the tournament. Active duty, Military Reserve, National Guard and Military Retirees will receive complimentary admission for their dependants as well.
 
The tournament will also treat first responders and military personnel to complimentary food and beverages inside its Birdies for the Brave Patriots’ Outpost located on the 9th green.  Birdies for the Brave Patriots’ Outpost will be open exclusively to first responders and military personnel Nov. 3-6.
